What a beautiful day!!

I am so impressed by all of your hard work!!!  It was so exciting to see the show come together.

5 DAYS UNTIL CN!!

Keep practicing and being obnoxious on Facebook.  Wear your CN shirts EVERY DAY.  Seriously, if I see you and you're not wearing it, I will yell at you and cry.

Support publicity committee!!  Tabling is Tues. and Wed. from 11-2 p.m. on Trousdale.

Flyer bombing is Thurs. at 7 a.m.  Meet at Tommy Trojan with staplers, staples, and tape.

Day of Promotion is Thurs., 12 p.m.-1 p.m. at Tommy Trojan.  Thurs. is also Secret Agent Day so wear secret agent attire!

Come support and publicize CN!  We've worked so hard, so help us spread the word about our amazing show!

Look at all those exclamation points!!  You better be as deliriously happy about CN as I am!!!!

2-2:45 PM         SoTrad
2:45-3:30 PM    KBD
3:30-4:15 PM    Taiko (with drums)
4:15-6 PM         Skit
5:30-6 PM         Performance group coordinator meeting with Joe Woo (regarding lighting)
6-8 PM              Full run through (with performance groups!)


Meet at Heritage at least 10 mins. before your call time.


Keep practicing outside of rehearsal because CN is 7 DAYS AWAY.

9:00-10:00 Taiko (Non-taiko cast members will read lines at this time.  We have to block the Obon scene).

Rehearsals are MANDATORY.  You must inform Maya and your performance group coordinator if you will be late or unable to attend a rehearsal.  These full rehearsals are extremely important because they are the only chances for us to organize the various performance groups into a cohesive Culture Night.

You should each be practicing your lines, choreo, etc. EVERY DAY because CN is 11 days away!!!

Set Construction

Set Construction is tomorrow!!


We will meet at Cardinal Gardens at 9 A.M. to transport wood out of Amara and Jessie's apartments and paint out of my apartment.  


Construction will begin at 10 A.M. at AFH.  One booth was constructed last week; one more booth needs to be constructed tomorrow (and perhaps a bookshelf).  Both booths must be painted tomorrow.  


There is plenty of work for everyone so please come out and support!!!  14 DAYS!!

WHAT’S COMING UP? 

March 13^th to 21^st – Spring Break!

Enjoy your week off from school! But don’t forget that once you get back, CN is 3 weeks away! Use this time to practice KBD, Taiko, SoTrad and/or Skit. Let’s make sure CN is awesome this year! 

Sunday, March 21^st  – Set Construction – 2:00 P.M. @ Cardinal Gardens

Want to see what this year’s set is going to look like? Come out and support our cast and crew as they help build the background construction! On this day, we will focus on building Obon booths, in addition to making the props for the rest of the show! Fun provided.

THURSDAY, April 1^st – Culture Night Full Rehearsal #1 – 7:00 PM to10:00 PM

Watch Culture Night finally come together as we begin to run through all the performances and acts! Come support your CN buddies in Skit, KBD, SoTrad, Taiko and Crew! 

SUNDAY, April 4^th – Culture Night Full Rehearsal #2 – 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

It’s going to be even better than the first Full Rehearsal! 

TUESDAY, April 6^th – Culture Night Full Rehearsal #3 – 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Culture Night is 4 days away! Let’s prove how ready we are! 

THURSDAY, April 8^th – Day of Promotion at Tommy Trojan – 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

We’ve practiced and practiced; now it’s time to show USC what we’ve been working on! Come help promote, spread the word and cheer on our publicity performances! 

FRIDAY, April 9^th – Culture Night Full Rehearsal #4 – 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

OMG CULTURE NIGHT IS TOMORROW! 

SATURDAY, April 10^th – Bovard Dress Rehearsal and CULTURE NIGHT – All Day

Must I explain? 

Are all Culture Night Full Rehearsals mandatory?

Yes! Full Rehearsals are mandatory for all Culture Night participants because they are our best (and only) opportunities for everyone to work together before the big night. Things such as timing and transitions cannot be rehearsed unless we are all there! Of course, there will be times when your “part” is not on stage – during those moments, all the various performance groups will be working on their own routines. NO TIME WILL BE WASTED! We need everyone to be at EACH Full Rehearsal in order to BEST PREPARE for the show on April 10^th.  

What if I can’t make it to a Culture Night Full Rehearsal?

If you cannot attend a Full Rehearsal, let me know AT LEAST A WEEK BEFORE! You will be responsible for contacting me (Maya, your CN Chair) and the respective performance group coordinators, and for catching up on what you have missed. PLEASE try your best to make it to each Full Rehearsal, as your absence affects not only your participation in CN, but everyone else’s as well!

ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE APRIL 10^TH DRESS REHEARSAL AT BOVARD AUDITORIUM. 

Can I still join one of the Culture Night groups?

Yes! Depending on each group, there may or may not be spots left. The cut-off for joining KBD, SoTrad, Taiko, Skit and Crew is Friday, March 5^th. For skit, we need a “crowd” for many of the bookstore scenes, as well as extras for other scenes. SoTrad and KBD are still looking for interested members! Want to be a part of crew? We’re always looking for additional help backstage! Want to be even more involved? Help us PUBLICIZE our show by telling your friends and families about it!

It’s simple! Go to all your practices and work on your routines! The more comfortable you are with your routine, the more confident you’ll be on stage! Watch other Culture Shows in the upcoming month! Tell all your friends and family, and even random people you meet on the streets, to come out and support us – we need to fill up Bovard!
